A little rain certainly wasn’t going to ruin this bride’s day. Or a lot, as the case may be. On the day of Lara and John’s completely open air wedding we were awakened by the sound of a torrential rain shower. All day long we watched the skies as the time drew nearer to make a decision about moving the scheduled Apgar Amphitheatre ceremony in

to our much less appealing indoor option. When the time came Lara cheerfully declared”, I don’t care if we get a little wet, I’m getting married outside!” As fate would have it, the clouds broke and the rain subsided just in time for the start of the ceremony. The last minute tents we put up to cover the outdoor reception provided some much needed security and an unexpected touch of class, but were, in the end, not necessary. The rain held off for the rest of the evening as Lara, John, their friends and family joyfully celebrated their union with the beauty of the dramatic

landscape as their backdrop.
